Trying to transpose 55042 to 24055

I can't seem to get how to do a macro - can someone tell me step by step how to do it and where the mouse button should be for each step?

So confused and this document I am trying to transpose is HUGE!

Also, the docuemnt has 5 columns and when I sort it I want to ensure the other columns get sorted with the first column.

    Can anyone help??

    Thanks!!

Maybe you could post a cut down version of your document and supply a bit more detail as to what you want to achieve. A before and after example would be really helpful.

Here is sort of what it would look like:

    WO'S Date Tech Store
    51287 05-Mar-12 Chad Control work
    51286 06-Mar-12 Chad Control work
    51285 12-Apr-12 Chad UNA
    51284 12-Apr-12 Don 1566
    51283 15-Mar-12 Peter 1539
    51282 16-Mar-12 Warren 1554

I want to take all the numbers on the left under WO's and transposed them so the lowest number is on the top.

I have seen you can do it with macros, etc., but I haven't been able to make it work

    janetls,

    Welcome to the forum!
Why do you need a macro? Isn't that just a basic sort operation?

    For Excel 2003: http://www.techonthenet.com/excel/filters/sort1.php
For Excel 2007 and higher: http://www.homeandlearn.co.uk/excel2...l2007s3p1.html

Take a look at the links I posted. They demonstrate how to sort.
