Subtotal & count

Hi:
I have a column and i need to make a subtotal to count the products or the dates in that column with out counting the duplicates?

sry, didnt explain that very well (or at all)
the formula uses 2 ranges:
1) list1
2) list2

list1 = cell A2
list2 = Range - A2:A11

This calculates only the unique values in A2:A11, and ignores the duplicates.

Edit - If you load a sample i can try put it into your worksheet for you.

If i have one column for drivers name and another for there trips date ( one driver can make tow trips and above a day) how can i calculate the working days of the driver by sorting filtering his name See Attached

I added more data so you could see how easy it is. With the 2 helper columns and using the Helper2 as a filter, then group the PT by month. See the attached.
