toggling background colour of a cell

hi guys

i have a sheet in which i wish to toggle the background colour of banded rows.
i found part of the code but if someone could please assist. essentially what i want is if the user double clicks on the cell(in a specific range) the active cell colour changes as well as the font colour.

now when the user double clicks on that same cell again i need it to revert back to its original colour.

thank you for your response leith but i need it to change the background colour from whatever it is to one i specify (on first double click) then if i double click again it needs to revert.
your code changes the background colour to white on first double click but does not revert it back on the second...
