This forum is awesome with the likes of jaslake ,steven and many experts .I have often found the best of solutions here.Now is a tricky case and i really don't know the chances of success
The following code i got from a Web-forum ,helps me list out files in a folder and subfolder (works great )
What my aim is to then use the sheet as a base to do the following -
I have tabbed sheets in the same workbook having folder names and then all the similar extension files under one column with column name being the extension .......
Say a Folder is XYZ which has word (.doc),PDF(.pdf),.jpeg(picture files),then i want "xyz"tab sheet to be generated with columns -doc,pdf,jpeg inside For each column ,i want to have a adjacent blank column titled purpose ,
Basically i am doing this so that i can list out the purpose of the files i have in my folder!
See the 2 files "Veronica " and macro assignment ...veronica has a working code which lists out all the files contained in folder and subfolders with a option to open them as well from the excel folder (courtesy Nick's Blog )
The macro assignment has the the first tab sheet input which Nick's code already handles through veronica ,
Now post ,i have all files listed out using veronica ,i want to have folder name based tab sheets containing all different file extensions as columns (see tab sheets ABC ,XYZ )
I know the project is tough ,hope that someone can try !
