Making excel import from a chat messenger history every time there is a new message.

I'm working on an excel sheet that imports a specific format of data from a .log chat program message history. Basically to make it something I don't have to constantly update every time someone wants something. So it would have to look for this format of words and import them to specific columns/rows and not reimport old messages but look for new ones periodically. And for bonus points let them choose a printer to print it on in their message. I know this is pretty complicated and I'm not even sure if it can be done. Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks!

So I've got a macro that will call my text reading macro periodically. The next part is having it read a text file and telling it where to put each part of the text file on my spreadsheet. Anyone know how to do this part?

Okay, using the native import function I was able to tell it to periodically import from a specific file in specific format. Now I'm trying to figure out how to take that first information and put it in a different layout and print it at 1 of 3 locations. And not print the old information.
