    programming vlookup to use new workbook each time

    Hi All. Hope you can assist me with this battle.

    I need to cleanup data on a regular basis and the base data layout is the same so I managed to get a working macro split in 5 steps. However each new month I need to lookup data from the previous month so my code needs to change. Is there any way I can write the lookup so that I can select the source of the table array. I notice that excel ask you to update the file, but if you select the new file, it does not pull through new data.

    Hi, Thanks for the welcome. I've updated the post with the tags. Was a little unsure at first. I'm quite new to VBA and am still in the process of learning the language. It's also quite hard with my resources. Everything is very basic.
