    Inserting new rom

    Hi-

I have a large spreadsheet with several columns of formulas. This spreadsheet is often updated, and inserting rows is necessary. Is there a way to have formulas and certain text automatically show up in a newly inserted row? Rather than having to drag down the bottom right corner so that formulas generate?

    Thanks in advance

This will copy all formulas, formatting and data.
    • Select the row where you want to insert and select copy.
    • Right-click on the the row number below
    • Select Insert Copied Cells from the pop-up menu

If you want to omit some data in the copy, you could record a macro to do the above and also have it clear the cells you want left blank.

I was hoping to get help recording a macro to do that and clear some of the cells. I've never done it before. Thanks

The red code are the cells you want cleared in the copied row. Change it to suit.
