Hi All,
So, I have a list of 4,000+ emails in excel (just finished scrubbing them) and I need to verify that the emails are existent. As in, Joeblow@gmail.com is an actual email address.
Scoured the net for a ways to do this, in an automated fashion ofcourse, but have yet to come across a resolution. Thoughts?

The short answer is you can only verify if an email address truly exists if you send something to that address and no error is generated. However, there are servers that respond to all email addresses whether they exist or not.
With this many addresses you run the risk of being blocked as a spammer using the above method. Your ISP could even be black listed because of attempts to verify so many addresses. You should use an online API to verify the addresses before you attempt to email anything.
