    skipping over protected cells

    Dear members,

I have work book with different sheets, and sheets having some non editable (protected) columns / rows.

for example column B , C ,D are non editable(protected) , and cursor currently in cloumn A and whenever use TAB, cursor should go directly to next editable column (column E).

Can you please let me know is it possible and if yes how it will work.

    Thanks,
    Sekhar

    Re: skipping over protected cells

it is possible when the sheet is protected.
All cells in new sheets are locked by default. Unlock the cells you need. Go to the review tab in the top menu and select 'protect sheet'. A dialog box will open giving you a selection of protection choices. Make sure there is a check mark in the box corresponding to 'select unlocked cells'. Make sure there is NO check mark next to 'select locked cells' and click ok. That should do it.
