Colour cell

Hello!i want to see how many days a failure lasts. i have a start date and an end date. when a failure occures and is repaired the cell becomes green. i want the cell to be red when i have a start date but it hasn t be repaired yet. i tried to do it with conditional formatting but i have to do it seperately for every cell and it is very time consuming (see the last row). there is an other way to do it?

it worked at 50% . ok for the red colour but i when the end date isn t zero it still be red. i would like this for example
start date 1/1/2012 end date 3/1/ 2012 appears green cell ( I had a failure and is repaired )
start date 1/1/2012 end date 0/1/1900 appears red cell( i have a failure that it is not repaired yet )

Just select all the cells that CF applies to and create a formula applicable to the first cell, Excel will update

i tried but i did not success. Can you do this on the worksheet please?
