Question Macro To Hide Formulas In Cell

    Hi Team,
Subject: Create A Macro That can Be Used As Alternative To Hide Formulas In Cell.

    My Question?
I have created A list with drop-down values, and specified the calculation formula in one cell.
In the formula I am using VLOOKUP for calculating a total as per the selection of drop-downs.
Now I don't want that the other than me, anybody can edit the formula, So i want to create a macro where i can write entire formula and lock the particular macro.
At the same time I want the Cell that is displaying the formula result, must be read-only.
Please Let me know the answer for this, is this possible?

    Thanks!
    Mandar.

    Hi Mandar,

You don't need a macro for this, you can simply protect the worksheet with a password. Select all cells that you want editable, right-click > select Format cells > Protection > un-check 'Locked' and click OK. Protect the sheet with a password and you won't be able to edit the cell with the formula. You can even hide the formula if you want so users can't see it. Before protecting the sheet, select the cell with the formula > right-click > select Format cells > Protection > check the box for 'Hidden' and click OK. Now protect the sheet.

The result will appear, but you won't see the formula in the function bar if you select the cell.
