Limit unique records in Autofilter

Hi folks,

Basically I have a data range of aprox 9K rows. Whitin this range I have a Date column, format dd/mm/yyyy.

This data range contains dates between 1983 & 2040. However when I auto filter on the date column, I am only given the option to select dates between 2003 and 2039.

I've tried changing the format of this column (genral, date, text etc), but nothing seems to work for me.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Try running a pivot table over your data, and look at the way it is summarised. This may throw something up

A colleague here has advised me that auto filter can only display up to 1,000 unique records.
This must be the reason for the issue.

that's right for 2003. you can still type values into the filter though.
