    Copy excel data to notepad.

    What is the best way to copy data from excel, say 1 column, to notepad. Ideally it should be an automated process.

    
Range("A:A").Copy
Shell "notepad.exe", vbNormalFocus
SendKeys "^v"
SendKeys "^c"
    The above code works for a brand new workbook but not mine for some reason. I don't know what setting I would have changed that the code would skip over 

    SendKeys "^v"
    though. Any suggestions?
