Saving each tab as its own file

    Hey world

I have a spreadsheet with multiple tabs that conveniently arranges log information for me and my coworkers who work closest with me. Two bosses up the management chain we hit a problem with a boss who cannot figure out how to navigate tabs and wants each sheet to be its own file. Is there a quick macro I can write that will save in the same folder a separate single-tabbed file for each tab in my main spreadsheet, each time I save that large spreadsheet?

Obviously it would be most convenient if the reverse were also true and every change made to the single-tabbed spreadsheet would be saved to the master spreadsheet too.

    Thanks
    Fofinho

Does it work like one person editing their own worksheet?

Is everyone that uses the workbook on the same LAN?

Thumbs up Re: Saving each tab as its own file

    Hello fofinho,
Before you open the workbook have you tried creating a worksheet that looks like a Table of Contents where you click on a hyperlink and it take the individual to the worksheet they need to view? I did this for my boss a while back and also included a picture with a hyperlink that returned to the Table of Contents on each worksheet.
Attached is a workbook that contains the code you will need to perform this action.
The command button on Sheet1 will copy sheets 1 & 2 and place them into their own seperate file. If you open Visual Basic I have left comments within the code to help you alter it to fit your needs.
The command button is currently set to save the file in a folder on my computer so you will need to adjust the code before attempting to run it. I suggest saving it to a place on the network so others who ar using the workbook don't have to adjust the code.
