Save Worksheet as .pdf or .doc

    Good Afternoon,

I need to save a worksheet as a new document. I am using 2003. I have done this before in Excel 2007 (saving as a .pdf), but it won't work in 2003.

Any suggestions or code for saving as a .pdf, .doc, or even just saving the worksheet as a new Excel document? Your help is greatly appreciated. Been searching for the answer for hours.

You can't save as a .doc, to save as PDF you need pdf software - there's free ones available. To save as a different file name File -. Save as -> enter a new name
    Hope that helps.

Re: Save Worksheet as .pdf or .doc

    Thanks!

Got the pdf software (Win2PDF), no problem there. I would like to be able to save as a pdf using VBA...naming the new file as the entry in "H1" to specified folder. Calling Win2PDF is not an issue, but getting the save as name populated and choosing the folder is proving to be problematic.

As an alternative, I could save as an excel file, but would want to save ONLY the active worksheet using VBA. Also having difficulty populating the save as field and choosing the new location.

Developed a work around to save ONLY the active worksheet as a new Excel file. This is a work around for the ugliness of trying to save as .pdf in Excel 2003 and third-party applications. All code listed is being used in a userForm and has been tested for funtionality. For anyone is interested, the code is below:

If only my employer used Office 2007, I would have saved as .pdf using the code below. Hope it can help someone out:

    Code is poetry. Peace.
