Run macro if todays date is different to cell

Hello all, I have a macro that i wish to run on closing a sheet this i know how to do, but i want to run it based on a condition. I wish to run macro if the cell at the bottom of column A (Dynamic) is different to today's date. I.e if today is a different day please record results. Does any one have the code required to do this?
