Averaging values if desired dates fall between range of dates

I have been trying to figure out a formula for the following situation below, its been almosttwo weeks that i wasted trying to figure it out:

In coulmn A I have a list of dates. In coulmn B as well there are another set of dates listed. In coulmn C there are dollar amounts that pertain to the range of dates listed in A and B. The range of dates between column A and B can range for nealy about an Year to having same dates in both columns, and each column nearly has 600 data sets. Now coming to the main part of the problem, in coulmn D I listed the desired dates for about an year (nearly 400 datapoints). Now in coulmn E I am trying to get the average of the dollar amounts (listed in coulmn C), if the desired date in cell D2 fall between the range of Coulmn A and Coulmn B dates. I really need your help guys, please please help me with this issue. For your convenience I have attached a test copy of the spreadsheet that I have been working on.

That's because the desired dates in the first 255 rows are out of range. look at row 257 and beyond for dates that fit your requirements.
