Any way to double click on a row number and have it copy that row to the clip board?

Hi, I have a spreadsheet that I use to make my daily mowing route schedule. What I would like to do is make it so I can double click on a row number and have it copy that row to the clip board. It doesn't matter how many columns are copied. There are 1700 rows right now, so it would be helpful if is something that could be universal.

Thanks for any help you can give and God bless you all,
    Ed

A macro seems pointless... if you click on a row number and press CTRL-C you've done just that, placed the row values into the clipboard. You can switch to any program and paste the values in...

Guessing here, but the 1,700 number is your client list and the "double-click row > copy to clipboard" are the applicable mows for that day, right? You're needing to create a daily (or weekly, or monthly) summary sheet you can fire off laying out your daily (weekly, monthly) stops?

Is the data laid out such that there are dates that the lawns are to be mowed? If so, you (with our help) could easily code a loop through the date range to capture all instances of a date or range of dates you specify and send all applicable data to the clipboard or another worksheet or, as JB pointed out, any program.

Hi AlvaroSiza, I appreciate your reply. Your first paragraph is exactly right. Each row’s first column has the beginning lawn, the next row has the lawn that will be done next. The following rows have information such as: travel time between these lawns, miles between and time it takes to mow them. I hyperlink through the spreadsheet copying these rows to the clipboard, I then have a work sheet for each day of the week. Once the clipboard has all the lawns for that day I go to that day’s worksheet and do a paste all. This worksheet then computes how long the day should take etc.. I also have other pages with macros that use this information for other things such as a page that has each day’s lawns listed in a column. I don’t have any date information included anywhere. At present, I select a row, go up to the copy icon on the clipboard and copy it that way. I just figured if I could do a double click it would streamline things a little. If it were to help I could send you a copy of the spreadsheet filled out for a week last summer. Ultimately, I am looking for anything I can do to streamline the mowing scheduling process.
God bless you and thanks again for taking your time to look at this

    Albertsonsmowing,

If you post a sample workbook of what you have and what you want, others can see what you are working with and may be able to help.
