I am working with two spreadsheets, Data Collected and Reports. The Data Collected is a spreadsheet that contains month to month data which is collected in a local creek five times per month at four different locations. The Reports spreadsheet is a report that is sent to state and federal agencies monthly, quarterly, and annually.
The old method of doing this was to collect the field data, transfer it to the spreadsheet, and transfer it again to the report spreadsheet. What I am attempting to do is enter the data once on the Data Collected spreadsheet and have it link automatically to the report spreadsheet.
The hard part is that the collection dates are not the same every month, thus the linked data will be incorrectly linked to the wrong cells on the report spreadsheet. I need five date cells on the Data Collected spreadsheet which will link its cell "date" and data (regardless of what date it is) into the corresponding date and data cells on the Report spreadsheet.
I'll attach the spreadsheets. One of your programers alright set up a move/index table but I think it just needs a tweak.
