How to hide preceding tab of worksheet with activate event

I currently have a worksheet with an activate event. When I try to hide the preceding tab my spreadsheet freezes. Can someone please help me with this issue?

    Hello,
We probably need a little more information, such as the code in the Activate event, or better yet a copy of the workbook (no data required).
    Good luck.

Re: How to hide preceding tab of worksheet with activate event

You will see with the attachment that i have three tabs (entry sheet, activate event tab, and the sheet to be hidden). When changes are made to the entry sheet and when the activate event tab is selected, columns within range("Range1") will either be hidden or unhidden depending on the value. I would like to be able to hide the sheet to be hidden tab without the sheet freezing or going into a loop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot replicate your problem. I would recommend explicitly setting application.Screenupdating back to True at the end of your code though.

So you didn't have an issue when you right clicked the sheet to be hidden and clicked hide?

OK got ya! Thank much! I added the application screen updating back to true at the end and it corrected the issue.
