Using graphs from websites in macros

    Hi

I've got a problem that requires me to use the graph that I attached. I retrieve this graph from a website.

Is there a way in which I can simply display the letter 'B' in a cell on a spreadsheet when the blue line crosses the top red line and similarly display an 'O' when the blue line crosses the bottom red line?
I reckon it's a pretty heavy problem and the only solution I can think of is using Visual Basic code. Any ideas on the code or alternative solutions?

    Thanks!

No idea what you are asking. The graph is an image??

Are you wanting to extract the value where the lines cross? That's not going to happen.

Why not create your own graph?

Well I know it's a pretty long shot.. To put this problem into perspective visit http://goldprice.org/live-gold-price.html

Here you will find a similar graphUntitled.gif) . Go to the 'studies' tab and choose 'Bollinger Bands' and click add. You'll see the graph that I attached.

What I want to do is have excel visit this page (sort of a web query) and return the character 'B' (in any cell) whenever the black line touches the blue line.
Similarly have it return the character 'O' whenever the black line touches the red line.

Like I said.. Pretty long shot - if at all possible

    Thanks

I honestly don't think that this is going to happen, I think you'll need to get prices from somewhere else where you can parse the data

I figured it might be a little too much to ask, yes.

    Thanks anyway!
