Hello there,

I need to create a macro that can perform the VLOOKUP function within 17 different files and return the correct values. These workbook should ideally remain closed.

It needs to identify the correct file according to a cell, then once it has opened the correct file it needs to find a value within the sheet depending on the 'Account Code' and copy that value into the cell in the initial workbook and close the other file.

Can anyone help? I have googled everything and read everything but have been unable to create a macro that works yet.
