Can't unhide (to upgrade) old .XLS add-ins

I have several VBA add-ins from Excel 2003. After a few code tweaks they all still work fine in my new installation (Excel 2010), but I can't figure out how to resave them in the new (.xlsm) format. They don't appear in the Unhide list (View>Unhide) so although I can "open" them, I can't get the workbook to a point where I can click File>Save As.

I realize (and after much sweating, have verified) that can upgrade such a file by exporting all of its modules and then reimporting them to a new file, but there's gotta be an easier way, eh? Some of these have 20+ modules.

    Grateful for any clues.

In the VB Editor select the addin. Change it's IsAddin Property to False. make any changes to the code, then save as an xlam
    Hope that helps.
