HEllo All, I am uploading a workbook with some dummy data in it.
Please look at it.
This is a STOCK LEDGER.
Let me explain the situation.
1. This workbook is placed on a computer, running XP SP2 and Office 2007.
2. The computer has 3 login accounts, Administrator, John & Will.
3. This work book is used by John & Will.
4. John does the data entry & Will checks the data and make changes if required.
5. John uses his account to do the data entry.
6. Will uses his account to check the data and make changes if required.
7. I need to make changes in this workbook in a manner that,
I. When John would use this sheet to do the data entry, his WINDOWS ACCOUNT NAME should appear in the column N, under the CREATED BY Tag.
II. Similarly the Date on which he was working should appear in the column O, under the CREATION DATE Tag.
III. When Will would use this sheet to check the data and make any changes in it, then his WINDOWS ACCOUNT NAME should appear in the column P, under the MODIFIED BY Tag.
IV. Similarly the Date on which he made the changes should appear in the column Q, under the MODIFICATION DATE Tag.
Please note that, there is conditional formatting set in the workbook in the column J and L, which changes the color of the cells in the sheet.
I have included 2 workbooks, Ledger_Sample1 contains the empty sheet & Ledger_Sample2 contains the data after the problem has been solved.
Ledger_Sample2 shows that:
JOHN did the data entry on 01 January 2011,
On 10 January 2011, WILL checked the data and made the changes to only 2 Rows, Row 15 & Row 17, while Row 16, did not needed any modification.
