Not sure how to do this

I dont have much experience programming with excel and was wondering if this is possible, and if so how?

I have several (3000+) lists. They are set up like a table with the first line being the headings, and the rest of the lines being objects. What i want is to filter these objects based on one of their values and then look at another value (true/false) and take the highest of a third value for all true and the lowest of that same third value for false... I can import them one at a time but do all of this by hand but it would take like 45 years, so i was wondering if there was a way to do any of this with a macro or via c# or something

    Thanks for any help

here is the workbook from the data import along with one text file. Again, i have thousands of these text files so manually importing them and then sorting would not be idealTrash.xlsxEveryshore-Gas Cloud Harvester II-2012.01.05 213005.txtTrash.xlsxEveryshore-Gas Cloud Harvester II-2012.01.05 213005.txt

You want to filter using what criteria?
    Point one by one.

Re: Not sure how to do this

so im trying to filter via "station id" and then for the bid == false return the lowest "price" and for bid == true return the highest price. but again, if the only way to do it would be to manually import each .txt and then run a macro on it i will have to look for a solution via .net because manually importing over 1000 files every week and then running a macro on all of them would kill both me and my comp.

sorry, how do i change the name? If you have to do it i suppose "if then statement with filter?"
