    Macro wait for input.

How can a macro a be set to allow for keyboard input then resume once the input has been entered?

    welcome to the forum
Maybe you could trap them in a cell with worksheet event untill they add a value to the cell

It would perhaps be an idea to post a sample of your data - obviously dummy values that are confidential but ensure that your sample is an accurate reflection of what you're working with.

The variables are minutes and seconds that represent the times various tracks on cds play. The macro will be used to insert the colon and move to the next input cell where the seconds will be manually keyboard inserted, Then the pointer will move to the next column where another manual input will be made of different text. The cd track(s) running time(s) will be displayed 3:26 and etc.

You can use a modeless userform. I can hopefully upload an example later this afternoon. In the meantime, here is a cool example of a visual trick using a modeless userform (http://www.vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=868).
