I want to prevent the copy funtion for a range of unlocked cells in protect w/s

I have a protected worksheet with two ranges of unlocked cells. These unlocked cells are for user input. The unlocked cells also have drop down list/ data validation. I want the user to use the drop down list however I do not want the user to be able to copy and paste within the unlocked range of cells. Seem like a few months ago I found a thread dealing with this issue and now I cannot find.
