How to know if a connection is used in the Excel via VBA

In my Excel, I create several connections to external data that are used throughout the workbook in pivot tables.

Users are able to delete the pivot tables they don't need anymore.
However, the connections stay.

Now I want to be able to clean up the connections that are not used in the workbook via VBA.

How can I do this?
