Question Creating a Darts scoreboard in excel, any thoughts?

    Hey Everyone

i'm fairly new to excel (and the forums) but i'm quickly learning what can and cannot be done in terms of functions. I am trying to create a darts score board for a friend, but i'm trying to do a bit more than just calculate the score

I've set it out like this:

    \1

So far i've only got it to do the maths when we input the score (subtract the throw from the total)

Here is a list of what im hoping to achieve:

    1) Auto clear cells - Selecting two columns of cells and clearing them (button)
    2) Locking formula cells - So they cannot be selected by mistake
    3) Auto move to next players cell after score entry (when you press enter to put in score)
    4) Auto update total games score after game is finished (button)
    5) Amount of darts thrown in game
    6) Average score thrown per game
    7) Display of possible finishes (as in if i input a database of possible finishes, when you get down to a finish it will display what darts to throw e.g. for 77 it would show 17-20-D20)

So thats basically it, im not sure how much of these is possible so i would really appreciate your opinions. I realise it may take a long time to explain how to do it, so even letting me know if they're possible would be great.

    Thanks for your time, Will

I suggest you start with a single question instead of a whole project in one question.

If you would like answers, you should attach an Excel file, not an image. Nobody feels like retyping your data to test a suggestion. Also, use the forum facilities to upload files, not untrusted external sites.

    cheers,

Hey again, i'm sorry i've been so slow to say thanks for the replies.

Teylyn i wasnt seeking detailed solutions for these scoreboard functions i was more looking for a list of yes/no as to whether these functions can be done in excel

I'm also new to using forums so am still learning the etiquette

    Thanks for the responses
