    Thumbs down Macro object button

When I used Excel 4 it was easy to create an object, format it as a button, and assign a macro to run when it is clicked. I now use Office Mac 2011 and can't seem to find the Excel commands to insert an object and assign a macro to it. Can this be done with this version?
    Thanks.

Hi Jtknyu, welcome to the forum.

In Excel for Windows (since I don't have a Mac), you must turn on the Developer toolbar in the ribbon in order to see the design tools for objects.

If you click the Office button > Excel Options, Popular. On that screen there should be an option for "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon."

    Hopefully that's what you're after.
