Error 1004 something about object not recognised

Hello, I am new to this Forum and I am not an Excel programmer, so I guess I'm in the dummy books category , The following script works fine in Excel 2003 and I have actually modified it a bit in other programmes and it still worked ! However on a set of PCs running Excel 2007 it comes to a grinding halt on the line indicated below. All the code is doing is filling ten cells with zeros and a secondary routine is making temperature measurements and slowly storing the measurements in the same cells - but not in Excel 2007 - I have seen a couple of other post on this error but they were too complex for me, and didn't address the problem at this simple level.

Can anyone shed any light on this at a raw beginners level? Thanks Graemeo

Thanks as you can see I have alot to learn. I am writing this code in a programme named ADAMview from Advantech and from what I have read in the forums its something to do with Excel2007 not recognising the .xls file format but I don't know how to fix the code for this.

Welcome to the Forum, unfortunately your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code. Posting code without them makes your code hard to read and difficult to be copied for testing. Highlight your code and click the # at the top of your post window. For more information about these and other tags, found here

The answer is quite simple but you need to add the Tags before we answer
    Hope that helps.
