Best way to learn VBA from scratch

    Hi guys,

The title says it all. I've received a lot of help from great users on this forum and it clearly showed me my like of knowledge in VBA.

I understand that VBA could take my work to a whole new level if I could get my head around it. I do not have any background in programming whatsoever so I was wondering if you guys could recommend something to start learning from scratch. I have been on a different website to look into macros but they all assume that the reader has already a good understanding, when clearly I don't.

I work better in front of a computer than a book so a software or a website would be my favorite solution.

Thanks in advance for any recommendation!

Re: Best way to learn VBA from scratch

There are links for learning VBA in the tips and tutorials section

have a look here and here.

Although you say you prefer online courses, the best resources I have found for starting from scratch are books, the best 2 in my opinion are this and this. Excel VBA Programming For Dummies by John Walkenbach is also excellent.

Of the above I thought Excel VBA 24-Hour Trainer (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) had a good approach as it came at it from an angle of getting things done
