    Pivot table for columns

    Hi,

    I have two columns of data, need to create a PIVOT table, which have to give the output one after another.

    First Column :Device
    Second Column : Montype
    Pivot table output should come like.

    Device/Monserver:
    -> Here it should show the device name first, followed by the Montypeit has from the next row, lilke this for every device its corresponding monserver should come below.

    I attached the sample input and output, please see that to get a idea. I want to know the steps how to perform to get the output.

    Dinesh, can you try explaining your issue again? Even with the attached document, its a little tough to understand it.

    Hi

    if you concatenate your 2 coloumns into 1 coloum
    then add a 2nd coloum (Alert count) with a value of 1 for each row this will give the out put you want from a pivot table.


    example

    DeviceMon type Alert count
    FW2-EXT-CBTTDIN001-SWEDEN-IPS (172.29.221.4)cpu_usage 1
    FSS-A-SMTP-VM1 (172.29.209.141)imss 1
    IPS-CBTTOM001-AMSTERDAM-A (172.29.230.2)ping 1

    Hay,
    You will find attached the pivot table as request :
    - normal pivot table
    - format total
    - filter numbers
    Note : your PT is not valid
