We can help you debug the code if you tell us what you are trying to accomplish through it.
The refernce has been taken from sheet 2 to sheet 1 For comparision to count the no of part no. present in sheet 1 and written in some coloumn .I dont want that refernce to be seen after my macro has been executed.
And one more thing the formula is looking for both variable and fix (coloumn 1) i only want for fix not both or even blanks.
I want to search for only the "fix" which is in coloumn 1 and the part no. in coloumn no. in coloumn 3 i want to count it through the code.
like i want to fiterout (if its the right to use) and look for the part numer the no. of times it is being repeated in the sheet 2 figure. the part no. i have extracted from the figure in sheet 2. i want to count the part no.s the no. of times it repeated in the figure but only for the fix item type present in coloumn 1.
please help out! I hope i am clear!

Please post a sample workbook. Based on your previous post(s), you should know that's the best way to get a quick (and sensible) answer. It's difficult to diagnose code without samples of the data and the workbook structure and, in this case, the shapes that you are processing.
