pop up to select name of workbook

    Hi

I need to generate a POP UP form that allows a user to select a file that has data in which would be used in a formula in the active worksheet.

I don't want the selected file to open, i just need to pass the path and name of the selected file to my function in VB.

    Hello KevBotes,

    Welcome to the Forum!

You can use the Application.GetOpenFilename function to display a dialog that will let the user choose the directory and file. The returned value will contain the full path to the file. You can change the title to something more appropriate then the default title of "Open" if you want.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
