I'm a long time reader in this forum but this is my first actual post..

usually i'm used to working out my problems on my own but now i've hit a wall, this challenge is bigger than me..

now, say you got a group of cells with diffrent numbers on each of them. i need to create a button that will creat transparent shapes with each click. once, i will move a shape to hover over a group of cells, the shape will chage its transparent color according to the sum of the cell it is hovering arround (i need to be able to strech the box in height and width.

any takers ? can this be done ?

i've checked online and found that there are ways to locate the shape and that there are ways to color-condition shapes, but, can i do them both ? will it work with hidden rows ?

please try your best to help, i think this can help upgrade the user level of this entire comunity as this can be used for all kinds of jobs.
