    Message box and vlookup

I have a master workbook with around 500 parts listing different prices in columns D-Q. I then have another workbook where I have 200 of the 500 parts listed (they amount fluctuates) I need a macro that runs from my second workbook, and asks the user to select which part they want updated. Once the part is clicked, the pricing will be updated from the master workbook. I have attached a workbook for an example of what i am trying to do.

I want the message box to ask the user to select which part they want to update and continue to ask that question till the cancel button is selected. AND if it is possible i need an option to update all entries on my second list

Re: Help with message box and vlookup

Can the master workbook be opened while updating the prices?
Or would it be best to keep it closed or unviewable to the user?
    Thanks
    Pierre

    Re: Message box and vlookup

Look at the attached workbooks. I hope it does all you want.
I created a button to call the macro and I used Sheet2 as a means to get the data from the Master Pricebook. It will get the values without opening it.
In the MasterPricebok workbook, I created a "Range name" call Master_data which will expand with your data. It also facilitates the referencing in formulas.

The inputbox will allways be active till you press on CANCEL.
If you want to update all the parts prices, you have to enter ALL in the inputbox.

    Good luck
    Pierre
