Copy a Workbook without the Macros

I am working in Excel 2007 on a spreadsheet that is in compatability mode for a Excel 2003 template. Our company recently switched over to 2007 and I'm not all that familiar with it. I have a workbook that I use as a parent workbook and I would like to create workbooks off of the data that is in the parent. One of the document outputs that I want to make is an exact copy of the parent workbook but with all of the macros stripped out and read only. I've tried to record a macro and start off of it but I don't know how I would copy everything over exactly without macros in the new, macroless, workbook. Does anyone have a clever idea to solve my issue?

    I'm assuming you're meaning a 2003 workbook to 2007.

Either way, if you are using 2007 then save the file as a .xlsx, just read the pop-up warnings as you go.

My issue is making a macro that makes a copy without the macros. Would saving it as the new .xlsx format help me in anyway other than not working in compatability mode?

*.xlsx cannot support macros, therefore savin as that format will remove all code
    Hope that helps.

Ok, I realize that, I will probably still work in xlt format. How can I accomplish my issue of making a new spread sheet off of the parent?
