Auto insert row in protected worksheet in shared workbook

    Hello

I have created a macro (well partly copied from here & there ) that auto inserts a row (with formula) into a protected worksheet when the existing finite number of rows has been reached. The problem I have is that this is a shared workbook. Does anyone have any tips how I can get round this problem?

    Here's the existing code

Don't share the workbook? (Shared Workbooks are awful things, anyway)

I know Shared Workbooks are a pain but unfortunately there are up to 20 people who need access at various times. Creating a separate file for each person is not an option (this would be replicated across 5 districts = 100 files) and a new one file would be required each week!

It's not just that they are a pain - they are unreliable, being prone to corruption and strange behaviour.

Anyway, your only method will be to save the file for exclusive use, unprotect, add the row, reprotect and then re-share the workbook. Either that or don't protect it.
