Auto-Save & Close workbook after 30 minute "session"?

More than one person accesses & modifies the schedule for a division saved to a network drive. If one person forgets to close the workbook, others cannot make changes to the schedule until the workbook is closed (unless they make a "copy of" and then there are multpile versions of the schedule out there).

Is there a way to make a workbook automatically save itself and close 30 minutes after it is opened? This would save a lot of headache for our department when someone forgets to close out of the workbook before leaving for the day. Thanks!

Or better yet, have it auto-save and close after being "idle" for 10 minutes?
