Copy Rows to new sheet based on multiple criteria (complex)

    Hi All,

Long time lurker first time poster here. Firstly and quickly thanks to a whole host of your for your help (albeit you didn't know it) thus far you have truly helped me speed up my job here...

Now onto something a little (well a lot) more complicated... I've attached an example of what i'm currently working on.

I get csv dump from a CRM program we use here and I plan to simply drop that into the first tab, from that in the second tab i want to have dropped into it the relevant data based on the drop down boxes. The drop down boxes have been set up so the contents of the second is dependant on the first, as well as there being an all function. I plan to use this data to drive a pie chart.

The data structure is set up as type==area==sub area.

I want the user to set a type, and a sub area as well as a date and time range, and wether or the not the data was created by a section of agents in the "contact centre" or "across the business" as a whole. One this is completed I want the relevant data to be populated below.

I hope this is a lot simpler than I imagined but after staring at this for a couple of days i've gotten nowhere fast.

thanks for any help you maybe able to offer.

Oops. your sample forgot to include the "relevant data".

I've updated your sheet to move the Lists to a separate sheet so this report sheet can be clean. Please fill in some sample answers then show us what the "report below" would look like. Surely you have something more concise in mind.

Hi Thank you for looking into this. The data would be contained in the Raw Data Tab for which there is about 100 lines of data. sone of the Data has been deleted as its a little sensitive for my business, But I have left in the fields that would be used as criteria for the seach/combo boxes and the date and time picker in the Type sheet.

One the Data has been populated (in my mind to the Type sheet) I had planned to overlay (or hide) the data with a graph that would show the volume of returned results in each catergory.

to put together a scenario the user would select a "type" "area" and "date/time" range. Any Data that matched These critiera would then populate and drive a graph that would show the percentage of activities within each sub-area of the area listed within the area selected above.

for example if the user selected field service from the first drop down box, and Breakdown from the second 14 results should populate. The graph would show the sub-area associated with the area breakdown and would have data as follows (from the data i've supplied) 8 - other, 2 - machine fault, 1-cartridge 1-feeder/jam, 1-chaisng engineer etc.

Don't mean this to be too shameless a bump just wondering if you were making any progress with this or required any further clarification?
