Hey Everyone! (Geniuses!!)
I have a really tricky problem, and I am really hoping that someone can help me.
Basically, I need a macro that will select a value in the cell, colour it, and colour the entity, whilst getting back to a defined total with a range.
E.g. Column A is my list of businesses, Column B is my account number. giving me the value of the account for the entity. At the bottom of Column B i have a total amount.
I then decide to say, okay for this specific account, I want to find the businesses that make up 10%+/-. for instance, my total is 1,000,000 for account xxxxxx. I can can choose amounts that total 900,000 or 1,100,000. I then do it manually, and colour in the cells along with the business name, and then the end result, I have cells coloured in red say, along with the entity, so then I know which businesses are making up the majority of the variance.
I have attached a file, which perhaps might be of some help, if somebody does feel like having a crack? You can see what I mean in column b... i basically want excel to do it automatically for me.
Thanks alot, even for reading this!!
