consuming a web service solely w/ VBA

Afternoon...hoping someone can give me some guidance. I have an excel file full of values for different variables. Each column represents a new variable and each row represents a different value associated to the appropriate variable.

i have a web service set up. This service is like a calculator.So I want to take the values from excel, call the web service, have the values populate the appropriate variables in the web service, run the calculator and finally take the results and populate the same excel sheet.All in VBA. I have been able to make reference to the service through the tool kit, is the rest possible?

tips on what a complete NOOB should read would be much appreciated. please and thanks
