Is it possible to use VBA to call Java functions?

Im looking to write a macro that will open a webpage, use the criteria and sumbit a search. The search will return an excel file, which is what I need to copy to the master excel file. (Sort of like status updating)

The webpage is writen in java and html. ( I have no knowledge about java). Can you guys tell me if this is even possible?

    thanks so much
