Is there a way to program a cell containing a date with an automatic reminder of some sort? I track expiration dates, and need a foolproof way to be reminded to request updated info in a timely manner.

Hi,
Conditional Formatting is a useful tool for this purpose.
Cheers,

The only conditional formatting I saw for dates would highlight cells within 30 days of today's date. I need to highlight cells based on the date of clearance plus a certain number of days (would vary with each type of clearance). For example, I track FBI fingerprint clearance dates, which expire 18 months after cleared date. It takes up to 3 months to get new clearances, plus 1 months to allow for scheduling conflicts, so I would need to be prompted 14 months after the date of the clearance. Any ideas? I am NOT a programmer (not even close), so I have no idea how to manipulate the formula to do what I need it to. THANKS!
Have a look at the formula in conditional formatting.
Note the "14"; representing the number of months to wait before triggering an alert.
Cheers,
Thanks! That does the trick!!
