Using Application.Inputbox.........getting type mismatch error

Hi, i have the following code.........

However, when i run it i get a type mismatch error at this statement........any ideas?

err_msg_1 is defined as type string.

You would probably want to use a message box for showing an error because an input box is for user inputs.

wierd one...........i fixed some other part of my code and "bam" it started working......still dont know why .......other than possibly before the fix i was referencing something that had a differnt data type..........to be honest i still dont understand....
