IF statements in a macro

Hello all
I have a list of distances in miles,furlongs and yards in col A,In col B i wish to input the known simple numeric value which matches each distance.The data is 161 rows long and to many for nested IFstatements eg IF(A2="5F",B2).Is there a macro or alternate formula
which will fill col B with the required values as shown.Many thanks for any help given.

Hello,

can you please upload the data in an Excel workbook? This will make it much easier to test and provide a solution. The data sample above will not transfer cleanly to two columns.
