Hello,
Can we write VBA to have a button on the 1st sheet to active a search pop up box, then have a user enter a sheet name then jump to the sheet? I have a workbook with A LOT of tabs and I want to be able to go them by searching.
Thanks

You can always make an index sheet at the beginning of the workbook that hyperlinks all the sheets.
If you're happy with someone's help, click that little star at the bottom left of their post to give them Reps.

It's going to be like 2,000 tabs. So, I don't really want to type those...
Not that I want to give you a hard time about this but how is the user going to know which sheet name out of 2000 sheets to select. You'll need some sort of index, which will require some work. You can place the following code in the first sheet, or where ever you want the user to select sheets:
![]()

I know it sounds strange. I manage a group of people who are assigned a list of product codes. So I made a huge automated excel sheet thats exported from Access. It breaks out the products in to tabs and profiles important metrics/charts.
So, the user will know what product to look up and be able to jump to that sheet because they manage 100 or so of those products.
Thanks! That works!! You have no idea how much that's going to help haha![]()
I'm sorry, I think I mis-understood you. You want the user to type in a product and then search each sheet and activate the sheet with the user defined product?
The sheets have the product number on them like "23490831", "23451424"
So, there are a lot of tabs with the name = product number.
My managers will be able to be like, I need to check on "23490831" and be able to bring that tab up with that code you wrote.
They don't need to search anything specific inside the tabs though.
Well then you should be alright. If you are happy with the results of your question, please mark the thread as solved and if you feel really inclined, you can tip the scales to show your appreciation or lack there of!
Have an excellent day!
I can do that, how do I mark it as solved and tip the scales?
To mark this as solved, click edit on your first post. Next, click Go Advanced. Once the next screen comes up, there is a drop-down menu next to the title, it should say "No Prefix". Select Solved from there and then save changes.
You can tip the icon by finding the scales icon located at the top right of everyone's post. You can't miss it.
Thanks.
