Count how many times a month appear but ignore blank cells

Hi,

I need to count how many jobs are priced per month.

See attached sheet, in column S it lists when the jobs were priced. If yo look at the table below you will see that Jan = 2, basically it is counting a blank cell as "1"

This is the formula i have:

=SUMPRODUCT((MONTH($S$4:$S$9)=1)*1)

Help, i have been trying to solve for past 2 days....
