Count how many times a month appear but ignore blank cells

Hi,

I need to count how many jobs are priced per month.

See attached sheet, in column S it lists when the jobs were priced. If yo look at the table below you will see that Jan = 2, basically it is counting a blank cell as "1"

This is the formula i have:

=SUMPRODUCT((MONTH($S$4:$S$9)=1)*1)

Help, i have been trying to solve for past 2 days....

=SUMPRODUCT((MONTH($S$4:$S$9)=1)*($S$4:$S$9<>""))

In B column,we have Time,with 15 min. period
In C column,we have some data
I want to calculate the max between time 9-18 ,for each day
For example Max between 9-18 for 2010.04.12,is write in G3
and also Max between 9-18 for 2010.04.13 is write in G4
So I write all with manual.I need a formula to calculate all ,means from row3 to row 99999
and write them one by one in front of the day
